Living Desert Plants is primarily an online nursery, though we do have stalls at a variety of events throughout the year. If you want to meet us in person, then this is the list of rare plant fairs to attend for 2023!
Vanrhynsdorp Vetplantfees / Succulent Festival 2023
We will have a stall at the 2nd annual Vanrhynsdorp Vetplantfees.
This will take place on the 4th and 5th of March 2023 from 09:00 – 16:00 at Letsatsi Lodge in Vanrhynsdorp.
Entry to the plant sale is free of charge.
Cape Town Plant Fair and Plant Swap
We will have a stall at the Cape Town Plant Fair.
This will take place on the 25th of March 2023, from 10:00 – 13:00 at the Klein Joostenberg Estate, off the R304, on the way to the N1 out of Stellenbosch.

Tickets for the plant swap are R20. Tickets to RSVP for the swap can be purchased on the Plant Collective website.
Tokara Rare Plant Fair 2023
We will have a stall at the annual Tokara Rare Plant Fair.
This will take place on the 22nd of April 2023, from 08:00 – 16:00 at the Tokara Wine Estate on the Helshoogte Pass, just outside Stellenbosch.

Entry to the plant sale is R50 per person (free entry for children under the age of 10), and proceeds will be donated to Camphill Farm Community in Hermanus.
Boland Vetplantfees 2023
We will have a stall at the 2nd annual Boland Vetplantfees.
This will take place on Sunday the 10th of September 2023 from 08:30 – 16:00 at The Vines farm, off R45, Noorder-Paarl.

Calitzdorp Vetplantfees / Succulent Festival 2023
We will have a stall at the 6th annual Calitzdorp Vetplantfees.
This will take place on the 15th – 17th of September 2023 from 09:00 – 17:00 (Sunday until 15:00) at Calitzdorp Station, Station Road, Calitzdorp.

Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens Rare and Collectible Plant Market 2023
We will have a stall at the 2nd annual Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens Rare and Collectible Plant Market.
This event forms part of the first ever Stellenbosch Flora Festival and ties in with Woordfees 2023.
There will be some plant vendors every day from 7 – 15 October, with the main plant sale hosting 20+ vendors on the 14-15th October 2023.
We will be selling plants on the below dates at the Stellenbosch University Botanical Gardens.
7th – 8th of October 2023 from 09:00 – 17:00.
14th – 15th of October 2023 from 09:00 – 17:00.
Entry to the Botanical Gardens and plant sale is R60 and includes a day pass to all other activities as part of the Flora Festival.
Franschhoek Village Market 4 & 5 November 2023
We will have a stall at the popular Franschhoek Village Market on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of November.
This event forms part of the annual Franschhoek Open Gardens festival and a variety of other nurseries will also be attending the market.
We will be selling plants on the below dates at the Franschhoek Village Market.
Saturday 4 November from 09:00 – 16:00.
Sunday 5 November from 10:00 – 15:00.
