Special features
Aloe maculata, also known as the soap Aloe, is a medium shrub-forming species that produces plenty of offshoots. These particular specimens have yellow variegation.
This plant is often also incorrectly called Aloe saponaria.
Care guide
This Aloe prefers plenty of sunlight, and should be kept under 60% shade cloth at most, or be given morning sun. Its soil needs to be gritty and well draining, as this species does not like its roots staying wet. Water it well throughout the year.
