Ariocarpus fissuratus

R1,800 incl. VAT

Where it grows

This cactus is indigenous to Mexico and Texas.

Special features

This cactus is also known as a ‘star rock’ due to its shape. Ariocarpus fissuratus consists of triangular shaped leaves stacked on top of each other. It has a super rough leaf texture, and makes bright pink flowers.

Care Guide

This species of Ariocarpus prefers full morning sun, or light shade. This is not an easy species to take care of, as it is quite water sensitive and prone to rot. A 1:1:1 mix of Ibaraki Akadama:Hyuga Pumice:Perlite is recommended. It is highly important to only water these plants in spring and summer, as doing so in winter will cause rot.
