Astrophytum are not difficult to care for. This genus prefers light shade, but can be acclimatized to full sun. Plant Astrophytum myriostigma in a gritty soil mix that drains freely. Water it well in spring and summer, but keep dry in autumn and winter so that it can have a rest period.
