Echidnopsis dammaniana is a species of Stapeliad with a knobbled stem. It is dark in colouration and similar in appearance to reptile skin.
Produces petite, star-shaped orange flowers in late summer and autumn.
Care Guide
Echidnopsis is not too difficult to care for. It is best to give it plenty of light, ideally full morning sun, to keep it healthy. It can also be kept under 40% shade cloth. This species requires a well draining soil mix that does not hold moisture for more than a few days. Keep this species completely dry in winter, with moderate water in summer, and plenty of water in spring and autumn.
