Glazed Raku Clay Pot – Cream

R95 incl. VAT

The exquisite Raku glazed clay pot range is meticulously handcrafted using the Raku firing technique. Originating in Japan, the Raku process was developed to produce one-of-a-kind clay pots with distinctive aesthetics and character. The hand-molded pots are extracted from the kiln while still radiating heat. The ensuing cooling process, conducted using natural air, adds a unique blend of colors, textures, and patterns to the pots.

This glazed clay pot range is handmade locally in the Little Karoo using the Raku method, whilst adding a unique South African touch to each pot.

Please note that each pot is handmade, so the colour and patterns may differ slightly to the photos.

This is the glazed cream pot.

Please note this product is for a pot only. Plants and soil sold separately. Photos showing a plant are examples only.

Product FAQS

Most nurseries, hardware stores and some plastic shops should offer shade cloth. Generally, buying it from an agricultural store that supplies the farming industry will be a bit cheaper.

Take a good potting soil or compost, sift thoroughly to remove any clumps or foreign material. Add 40% - 60% drainage material i.e. pumice, perlite, stones, etc. The soil mixes we offer are filled with components that give them strong drainage, and we highly recommend them as a good starting point to learn how soil mixes should work.
