This is a rare black cultivar of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii, specifically a hybrid of the cultivars LBHB x Black Widow. The stem is super dark in colouration, in contrast to the usual green. It also has white fluffy areoles.
This species prefers full sun to semi-shade, so a maximum of 40% shade cloth is recommended. A well drained gritty soil mix is essential. Water well in the summer months, allowing it to dry in between waterings. Keep dry in winter.

Gymnocalycium denudatum 'Kaiomaru' is a select cultivar with extra long spines, which stretch across most of the stem surface of the plant.
Pilosocereus azureus, or Blue Torch cactus. Tall growing columnar cactus with an attractive blue coloured stem. Produces fine white hair with age.
Mammillaria elegans is a dwarf species of cactus with a mix of white and black thorns. It rarely branches into multiple stems.
This cactus is covered in small, feather like thorns that make the stem appear almost completely white. This also gives the plant a symmetrical appearance.

We ordered plants from LDP through Harry Lewis a while back. We were very happy with our parcel. Reasonably priced. Very helpful as well. I can recommend Living Desert Plants.
