These particular plants are all grown from seed or leaf propagations.
Where it grows
Haworthia springbokvlakensis occurs in an arid area of the Eastern Cape of South Africa called the ‘Springbokvlakte’, hence its name. Specific locality is Cockscomb View.
Special features
This plant has rounded leaf edges, which is abnormal for ‘retuse’ Haworthia. These seedlings have attractive markings on their blue-green leaf windows.
Care guide
This species is a spring and autumn grower, so it is important to increase watering during this time. It thrives in dappled light, and should be kept under 60% shade cloth. A well drained, airy soil mix is required, preferably with plenty of Ibaraki Akadama and Hyuga Pumice.
Growing season
Autumn and spring.
