Special features
Pachypodium lamerei, also known as the Madagascar Palm, has a thick caudex with one main branch that splits into several sub-branches with age. Each branch is covered in short spines, and is tipped dark-green leaves. This particular specimen has fantastic, strong yellow variegation on all of its leaves.
White flowers form during late summer.
Care Guide
This caudiciform succulent prefers full morning sun. If it has been grown in shade as a seedling, adjust it carefully to more light. It needs a soil mix that drains exceptionally well, as it is sensitive to overwatering. Only water in spring and summer, as this plant requires a rest period with no water during winter dormancy.
