Special features

Pilosocereus azureus is also known as Pilosocereus pachycladus or the Blue Torch cactus. It is a tall growing columnar cactus with an attractive blue coloured stem. When it matures it produces fine white hair on the ridges of its stem.

Care Guide

Pilosocereus enjoy plenty of light, and should be kept under 40% shade cloth to maintain their blue colouration. They are not fussy about their soil requirements, and any airy medium that drains well should work. Water often in the growing season, but keep these plants dry in winter.
