Sceletium tortuosum is a dwarf succulent that forms a small, ground covering shrub. It is well known for being used in medicine by the Khoisan people, before the western world become aware of it.

Sceletium is not a fussy plant, and will adapt to various environments in cultivation. Keep these plants in full morning sun, as this species prefers plenty of light. It should be planted in an organic, but well draining soil mixture. Water often in autumn and winter, but keep dry in summer.
