Basic Troubleshooting
These three simple solutions resolve 90% of all user support questions:
1. How do I restore my purchase?
If you have recently upgraded your iPhone, restored your device from a backup, or installed Botanical Curator on an iPad, you can easily restore your previous one-time purchase without paying again.
• The Fix:
- Open Botanical Curator.
- Login to your iCloud with the same Apple ID used to make the original purchase.
2. How do I securely back up or export my breeding logs?
While your personal Google Drive handles optional backups of your database, we highly recommend keeping a physical backup of your years of breeding records.
• The Fix:
1. Go to the Settings or Data Management tab within Botanical Curator.
2. Tap Export Collection to CSV.
3. Save the generated .csv files to your local files, email them to yourself, or back them up to an external drive. This file format is highly portable and can easily be read by Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or re-imported back into Clivia Curator at any time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Botanical Curator collect or sell my plant data?
Absolutely not. Your plant data, parent names, photos, and breeding secrets are yours alone. All database actions happen locally on your device, or are optionally synced encrypted to your personal Google Drive. We do not have servers, user accounts, or any way to view or access your inventory.
