Where it grows
This dwarf Aloe is native to south-west Madagascar.
Special features
This special Aloe has attractive dark red spines. It is a cliff dwelling Aloe which forms dense clumps of long stems over time. It is quite suited to a hanging basket or rockery.
Care guide
Aloe castilloniae prefers plenty of sunlight and should either be planted in full morning sun or kept under 40% shade net. Its soil needs to be gritty and well draining, as this species does not like its roots staying wet. Water it well in spring and summer, and only water in winter if it appears to be dehydrated.
