Eriospermum paradoxum is native to the Eastern, Northern and Western Cape provinces of South Africa.

Special features

This Eriospermum bulb species produces a single ‘leaf’ divided into multiple smaller shoots that resemble a fluffy pine tree.

Care guide

This species is a winter grower, so it is important to increase watering during this time. Keep dry in summer. It thrives in plenty of light, and should be kept under 40% shade cloth. A well drained, airy soil mix is required, preferably with plenty of Ibaraki Akadama and Hyuga Pumice.
