Where it grows

Grown in cultivation. Its natural form is native to the USA, specifically the state of Florida and the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas, and can reach heights of up to 7 meters tall.

Special features 

The “Fairy Castle” form, which is a dwarf mutation, remains small and only grows up to about 30 cm tall. It is a slow growing compact cactus which branches readily to create a castle shape. It has beautiful yellow variegation mingled with its natural dark-green colour. 

Care Guide

These plants love full sun to partial shade with a gritty, well-drained soil mix. Water well in the summer months with little to no water in the dormant winter months.
