Monilaria moniliformis is native to the Western Cape of South Africa.
Special features
This special succulent has leaves shaped like the ears of a rabbit, hence its common name of ‘bunny ears’. Monilaria lose their leaves in the height of summer and become dormant.
Care Guide
Monilaria moniliformis prefers strong sunlight and should only be kept under 40% shadecloth. It should be planted in a well draining soil mix with some gritty components. Water well in autumn and winter when it has leaves, but keep completely dry in summer when it is dormant.
