One of the most popular ‘columnar’ cactus species. Forms a tall hedge and is often used as a living ‘fence post’, hence the name.
Care guide
These cacti prefer full sun, but should be grown in dappled sun when young. They require water in their growing season (Spring and Summer). These plants are sensitive to overwatering and do not require water in the dormant cooler months. A well drained soil mix is important for these plants.
