Where it grows
This plant is a cultivated mutation of the San Pedro cactus and does not occur in nature. The natural form is native to the Andes Mountains in South America.
Special features
These striking specimens have golden-yellow variegation on only one half of the plant. They are also crested, which gives the plant a half-moon shape.
Care guide
These cacti prefer full sun. The green growth will grow faster than the variegation portion if not given enough light. Water during spring and summer and keep dry in winter. These plants are not overly sensitive to overwatering, but a well draining soil mix is still a requirement.
Growing season
Spring and summer.
