Special features

This Gymnocalycium, also known as the “Chin cactus”, has soft, brittle spines protruding from chin-like ridges. These particular specimens have striking colorful variegation covering portions of their stem surface.

Care guide

This species prefers full sun to semi-shade, so a maximum of 40% shade cloth is recommended. A well drained gritty soil mix is essential. Water well in the summer months, allowing it to dry in between each watering. Keep completely dry in winter.
